Public Speaking and Presentation Skills at Sans Souci Speakers ClubThe info below should tell you all you need to know about Sans Souci Speakers Club, but if you still have questions, please contact us. VenueWe meet at The Barn Premier Inn - Hockley Heath Solihull. Meetings are held every two weeks, starting at 7.00pm for 7.30pm and finish around 10.00pm. Meeting DatesWe meet fortnightly throughout the year, with the exception of August. For a full list of dates, visit our Dates Page. Training MethodsPublic speaking and presentation skills are just that, they are skills, and they have to be learnt, practised and perfected. That's why we have a structured programme, which all members follow. The programme is taken at your own pace with lots of support, advice and encouragement along the way. Whilst the club prides itself on its achievements over the years we never let things become too serious, in fact the club motto ought to be "High standards with a sense of fun and enjoyment". Public Speaking nervesBut I can hear you saying, public speaking, I could never do that, I'd be too nervous, I'd die. Well we've not had a member die yet, but at Sans Souci we know all about nerves, we also know from over 20 years of experience that in a friendly and supportive environment, confidence grows, the nerves start to get less, and slowly you learn how to bring them under control. Unfortunately there are no "quick fixes" when it come to learning public speaking and presentation skills. You have to build up the technique and more importantly, the confidence over a period of time. You can't do that on a two day course! Even with our structured approach, you may always have butterflies, but at least they will be flying in formation. If you want to conquer those fears, contact us now. Membership subscriptionsBecause we are a non commercial, non profit organisation membership subscriptions are only used to cover room hire and running costs. For a full season, current membership fees work out at less than £5.00 per meeting. |
